Happy Late New Year!

I purposely avoided posting anything pre-New Year but since I’m up at 2AM I’ll wish everyone a Happy Post New Year!

For me the last half dozen or so years have been the same on New Years Eve. Stay home, maybe watch the ball drop in New York from the comfort of the warm and cozy bed. I’ll flip around and watch maybe MTV or one of the big networks. Past years have been pretty good on MTV, I recall Jack Black and Dave Grohl doing a cover of Back In Black that was awesome. This year was weak by comparison, just couldn’t watch it at all. All the programming on seemed really dull, maybe I’m just getting more cranky in my old age.

New Years Resolutions
I know you should have a few, but I’m still trying to accomplish the ones from last year and the year before that and the year before… you get the idea.

Only 2 hours into the new year and I’m feeling like this could be it, The year I start to get stuff done. For the last couple of weeks I have been making and keeping deadlines and I’m working on projects that I feel pretty good about. This keeps me more motivated and in turn more productive.

Happy Birthday to me – Not
Funny thing, I forgot that I often fill out online forms with a fake birthday when I don’t think it matters but is required for the form to be submitted properly. I always use 1/1/XXXX, I just received 20 Happy Birthdays to me.

Here is another birthday idea for you to try next time your out at a restaurant with someone. Tell the waiter/waitress its the birthday of the person your with BUT DO NOT TELL the person your with. This is usually good for a free dessert and a laugh.
