Lakers Tonight

Going to see the Lakers play the Hornets tonight. I am not much of a basketball fan but I hear this is an important game.

Seats are supposed to be pretty good and we got a pass to the Royal Room, which is apparenetly I’m told some sort of VIP bar/lounge area.

So it should be sold out and nutty at the Staples Center tonight. Look for me on your local late night news - I’ll be the idiot with the mohawk getting kicked out for hang all over Jack Nicholson.

Got to the Staples Center a little late, around the 2nd quarter.

As I’m walking in I notice a large sign proped up near the door. The sign listed stuff that I can’t bring in, half-way down I read, “No cameras with lenses longer than 3.5″”.

I’m carrying my Canon Rebel XT with a 70-300mm lens.

SHIT! I am screwed I had to check my camera in at the Staples business office.

The game overall was pretty slow. We had a pass to the Royal Room, some kind of exclusive bar/lounge. Not much going on in the Royal, cool I guess if your with a bunch of people and looking to get sloshed.

The game was pretty lame too, not much excitment and was pretty much over by the end of the 3rd. In the final quarter Lakers were leading by 30points, so much of the crowd had already begun to leave. I was going to stick around and try to find some celebrities to take pics off - none in sight so I bailed.
