1D BABY!

Just could not resist it any longer, so I went ahead and bought a Canon 1D Mark II N used off eBay. The real deal closer for me was the seller was local to my area and would give me a chance to test and see the camera before paying for it. It got better after meeting up with the seller to make the exchange, turns out he is a Canon education rep and offered to give me some pointers and help me with any questions *or service* I might have in the future.

Going from a Canon Rebel XT/350D to this is night and day. The controls, the handling, so much about this camera is like new ground to be covered for me.

After only having the 1D M2K for less than a dozen hours I would say this is an awesome camera… more camera than I know what to do with at the moment.

The toughest part of the decision process when purchasing this camera was figuring out how to tell my wife. As coincidence would have, she told me she was looking to get me a gift. I told her not to worry about that, I already got myself one.
