Canon’s EOS 40D Announced

After many weeks, even months of staring and discussing the photos *is this the new 40D*, it looks like the rumor mills where right.

Amazon leaks specs, delivery, and price for Canon’s EOS 40D

Highlights are: 10.1 megapixel, 30% faster, ISO 3200 max, improved 3.0-inch LCD with Enhanced Live View; 6.5fps continuous, sRAW (smaller RAW), plus many other features. MSRP $1299.

Amazon disabled the page for the 40D earlier but it seems to be back online now.

More rumors:

  • 1DsMKII is coming this fall with 21.1MP sensors. Dual Digic III.
  • 5D MKII is coming out this fall with 16MP FF Digic III sensors.
  • 450D XTi2 – Digic III
  • New cheaper IS lenses
