Time to clean up the computer

Been busy doing a little computer house keeping today. I have an Win XP box that I have been using for production work for the last couple of years, was actually a hand me down from my buddy Phil. I mention this in case he reads this post, he should get a laugh. BTW Phil, the box still maintains the “Old-Phil-Box” id for old times sake.

Back to the house keeping part of the story, as you might have guessed this computer has a large collection of files, applications, junk, etc… after constant use everyday for 3 years it has gotten a bit cluttered. So for the last 5 hours or so I have removing and deleting old junk apps as I make room for new (junky) apps. It is a vicious cycle of out with old in with the new. Oh and by the way, I prefer XP over Vista for speed, even on my old 2.0GHZ 2GBRAM box which just feels as faster if not faster at some tasks. Granted it does begin to show its age when working in Photoshop CS2 (which is being replaced with CS3), but it will save and move files much faster and that makes up for it.
