Photographers’ Rights Rally in Hollywood

My experience with “The Man” has been mixed, some good some bad. Downtown LA area is where I have had the worst experiences with plain clothed security guards who are very quick to confront and harass. On one occasion threatening to take my camera away?! Recently I was stopped for taking photos in Shoreline Village in Long Beach. He let me finish my shoot and the exchange was very professional and courtesy. I would have thought after paying my city fees for business permits, etc… which were very substantial I could take photos anywhere short of the Mayor’s house without problem.

Going to attend the rally for sure, not something I do very often or at all. I did wear an orange jumpsuit for a day in observance of a protest against human rights violation, but honestly I just need an excuse to wear the orange jumpsuit and I’m in.
